Circuit Weight Training ($) is a 50-minute standing class that alternates upper-body strength work with low impact cardio to maximize fitness benefits. Alternating between one-minute strength movements followed by 30 seconds of cardio exercises targets different muscle groups, such as upper and lower body muscles, as well as core and balance components. The combination of these exercises also incorporates coordination and reaction time training, two key elements for preventing falls and promoting cognitive function. Bring your own weights. The first session of this new class will be 1/13/2026, and a $5 voluntary donation is requested. Thereafter, there will be a regular per class fee. We provide the following: Cards are sent to cheer you up after illness, hospital visit, or, sadly, the loss of a family member; meals for homebound residents; we’ll sit with you, or even read to you, giving respite to your caregiver; we’ll walk your dog if you are unable to do this due to illness. We have our own prayer coordinator to provide support and will make visits to you at the hospital or at home. We set up before and clean up after a funeral repast luncheon or memorial at the Clubhouse, the rental of which is free for bereavement for the death of a Ponds' resident. The History Forum Club provides insight into the people, places, and events of regional, national, and world history through monthly lectures and/or musical events in the Brandywine Room on the 2nd Monday of every month (except August and December) at 7:00 p.m., quarterly field trips, and monthly published research articles. Presentations are free; however, ($) there is a cost for field trips. If you would like to be part of the leadership group for the club, they meet the Thursday before each presentation in the Christina room at 7:00 p.m.

The Ladies Lunch ($) isn’t always a lunch. Sometimes it’s brunch; sometimes it’s a dinner; sometimes it’s a cocktail party. They meet every other month at the Clubhouse in the Brandywine Room on Thursdays, most of the time from 12:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m., except for the evening events, which are from 6:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Between fifty and sixty women usually attend these themed events to meet new friends and catch up with neighbors while they dine and enjoy games and activities or entertainment.

The Outreach Club is all about helping our fellow Delawareans. Our club meets on the third Thursday of the month in the Brandywine Room* at 9:30 a.m.. As a group, they decide on which organizations or groups they can help. They do drives to help families with Christmas and Thanksgiving; they have done projects to give to veterans, nursing home residents, and animals. Their club members volunteer at Our Daily Bread and make meals for a men’s shelter. They also contribute volunteer opportunities to the newsletter. Ponds Singles Dinner Group provides opportunities for single residents to meet and socialize with each other at a Game Night every second Wednesday evening from 6:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m. in the Sassafras Room in the Clubhouse and to get together for dinner (or sometimes lunch) at least once a month at a local restaurant ($).
